I grew up in Anshan China and spent most of my time before undergraduate there. I took my undergrad in University of California-San Diego majored in Mathematics-Computer Science. Now I am taking my Master program in Game Design in Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
Since I had my first PSP (one of the greatest handheld game consoles) back in primary school, I was drawn to well-made video games, moved by the characters, frustrated when stuck by a boss, and flicking through magazines to study tips to improve my playing technology. As I played more games, I developed my own video game aesthetic. I did not just think about how to pass when I was playing. Instead, I would consider more about why the level is designed the way it is, why there is a monster at here, why there is a block, and why the story has to go this way. Later, when I got to know the game company better, I also thought about the capital operation behind the game when it was released. All of these inspired me to become a video game maker.
